About the Artist:
Tie Wood–A native Houstonian, whose work is inspired by MARK ROTHKO simply takes pleasure in creating defining pieces for any space. Whether it be bold, calm, rustic or sleek, this local artist has produced conversation pieces enjoyed all over America since 2002. By mixing interior design with custom art she is able to create eclectic pieces from the basic to the urbane.
“Most times I don’t know what I will paint; I only know what I want to feel. I take a color palette and keep going until I love it!”
In 2017, my mother Emily Joyce Stewart Clay—a beautiful, vibrant woman—was stricken with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. Despite her fight and determination and the love and support of her family, Emily gracefully relinquished her valiant battle last November. Sadly, my mother was one of the more than 12,000 Texans during the past three years who have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer,* for which there currently is no cure and little treatment.
Join in this fight by supporting my partnership with the Lustgarten Foundation The Art of Love-An Intimate Artistic Extravaganza from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday, June 26.
I need your support to educate the community, raise awareness and raise critical funds to find a cure.
